Connecting people through art around the world...
Drawn to the natural Irish landscape Siobhain’s designs are influenced by the simplicity tranquillity and beauty surrounding her Co Cork studio. Each ceramic piece is designed and handcrafted with care evoking a sense of simplicity, serenity and connection.
‘After many years of travel, a career in nursing and motherhood, I availed of an opportunity to return to college and pursue my love of creativity and design. I found myself naturally drawn to ceramics and the abundance of possibilities that it offered. I was fascinated with the journey from clay to a finished design. Influenced by my travels and surroundings my signature ranges include
Message on a Bottle, the Line, Allium and Poppy ranges’
My studio is located at my home in the beautiful Bride Valley 5 minutes from Rathcormac, 15 minutes from Fermoy and only 25 minutes from the Jack Lynch Tunnel. It began as a humble storage shed and has grown with my business over the past five years incorporating the studio, gallery and relaxing class area. We run adult ceramic classes and after school children’s classes during school term and children's summer camps annually for the first three weeks in July, Birthday parties arranged by appointment.
Each piece will take a minimum of two weeks to complete from forming, fettling, decorating and glazing and will pass through my hands many times before it is finished with care ready to be gifted by you. I work with porcelain, bone china, stoneware clays and slips using hand building and slip casting methods.
An opportunity to take time out relax and explore your creative side in a relaxed setting. Our classes are small insuring individual attention. Projects to date include butter dishes, impressed vases and bowls, platters, bespoke mugs and sculptures. Over six weeks we will work on weekly projects from planning, making, decorating, glazing and completion. All levels welcome from beginners to more advanced students.
I also run Childrens' classes.
Bespoke, Just For You
